FOCUS ON CHRIST SANCTUARY INTERNATIONAL
Dear Pastor,church leader,
As president of the board of Christ Sanctuary USA I would like to take a minute of your time to introduce you to Christ Sanctuary International and to invite you and your congregation to become involved. Let me quickly tell you that we are not another organization asking for a donation. We are seeking partners...people and organizations with a desire to share their time and skills.
Christ Sanctuary International (CSI) is a worldwide organization with it's primary emphasis on imparting Christianity & life skills to the people in Africa. The USA division is an Oregon registered non-profit corporation, 501(c)(3) fully registered.
Come for a three week or 6 weeks stay. Hold a two week or 5 week workshop, then let the CSI tour and travel people show you some of their beautiful country. If you cannot personally come, consider sponsoring someone you know. It will be a life changing adventure.
CSI began as a small fellowship meeting under a tarp outside of KampalaUganda-an area with an unemployment rate in excess of 70% and where there are no vocational training programs available. The need to equip people with skills quickly became evident to founding Pastor Tucker Walugega and his ministry team and the CSI Business and TrainingCenter was created.
The "Impart Life skills program" is a unique opportunity for people from the US to share their knowledge and skills with people in Uganda. We have had three groups travel there so far (one in 2007, 2008 & 2009) and the results are several small businesses now being operated by people in Uganda. These include a carpentry workshop, landscaping service, sound equipment rental, hair salon, restaurant and catering, kindergarten, tailoring center and more. As a result of business workshops held last year each of these small businesses have a business plan in place.
So now I would like to invite anyone in your church who would like to feel a part of something greater than themselves to join us in 2010. If you have individuals in your fellowship who are feeling redundant, who need a spark off something new, who would welcome an exciting opportunity to serve, we would like to invite them to become a part of this ministry.
We are not raising funds. We do want to invite people to come to Uganda, share their skills and be a part of something bigger than themselves. We realize that not everyone can travel to Africa, but some can. And those who cannot personally make the trip may want to help support someone from your organization who can. There are many ways to be involved.
